St Joseph's Adult Education Programme
The St Joseph's Adult Education Programme is in its seventh year of operation, offering free literacy training in the three dominant languages of the Western Cape: English, Xhosa and Afrikaans.
The Canon Collins Trust is supporting their Xhosa Montessori training project that aims to enable pre-school teachers from disadvantaged communities to teach this methodology in their mother tongue. The teachers have received bursaries and appropriate material has been translated into Xhosa.
