Hi, I’m Ntsiki Dinga.

I studied for an MSc in Finance at Exeter University from 2003 to  2004 under the auspices of the Nelson Mandela Scholarship, administered by Canon Collins.  I hail from Cape Town originally, but am now living in the bustling metropolis of Johannesburg. I enjoy travelling and spending time with friends.

I am currently working as a finance manager for Standard Bank Corporate and Investment Banking, having recently spent 5 years working for a multinational in the UK. Prior to that, I spent 7 years in the commercial finance space in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. Immersing myself in the new world of Financial Services is an exciting and a stretching challenge for me professionally – but very energizing!

Why am I running for the Canon Collins Trust? The reasons are two-fold. First, I would like to make a contribution to an excellent education initiative – one that I know from personal experience has a phenomenal impact. Second, this is a way to extend myself on a personal level. I have done half marathons before, but running a full marathon will be a personal challenge.

“In Zimbabwe bad economic policies and political intolerance meant that the gains of independence have largely been reversed. The most positive developments in the future will be better utilization of natural resources to ensure equal share by all.”
